When I was a kid, my allowance was $20 every week. While most kids spent their money on movie tickets or food out with friends, I saved up all my money one summer for a used Macbook Pro that I bought from my cousin. The hinge was cracked and the fan overheated after 30 minutes, but it had just what I needed: iMovie. My plan was to create a movie trailer that would convince my entire extended family to go to Disney World for Thanksgiving break. This fascination with storytelling soon became a passion, which is what led me to pursue a degree in strategic communications. But to me, strategic communications is more than just a career path, it’s my craft. I love anything and everything that makes me think twice about how I view the world, and I let these inspirations fuel what I create. With any project I start, professionally or personally, I maintain this mentality and give it fierce loyalty. So in a way, I am always working. I love looking for inspiration in my environment: whether it's taking a picture of a compelling image or writing down quotes that stick with me.
I know that I am one of those rare (and lucky!) individuals who knew what I wanted to do with my career before I even went to college, but I still have an endless amount of knowledge to learn so I welcome the opportunity to dive headfirst into any challenge.
